This Antique Persian runner rug was handwoven in 1890 in Malayer with a fantastic central design and border. A red field holds a repeat pattern woven in blue ivory and beige accents to make up the central design enclosed by a fantastic layered blue and red border.
This fantastic antique runner rug is perfect for an entranceway runner, kitchen runner or hallway runner rug. Suitable for both modern and traditional home interiors. This carpet runner rug is in beautiful condition with a fine wool pile and colours that look as though they were dyed yesterday.

Object History

Constructed with hand-spun sheep’s wool which has been dyed with organic vegetable dyeing techniques.
