Object Description

An antique sterling silver spoon in the popular fiddle pattern. Very useful long handled serving spoon. Initials “EN” engraved to one end in old fashioned script.

Weight 134 grams, 4.3 troy ounces.

Length 30.5 cm.

London 1844.

John James Whiting, no record of appprenticeship or freedom. First mark entered as spoonmaker, 1833. 2nd mark 1833, 3rd mark 1835, 4th 1835, 5th 1840, 6th 1842, 7th 1846, 8th 1847 (2 punches).

Object Condition

The antique silver serving spoon is in very good condition. Stamped with a set of English silver hallmarks.
