Object Description

An antique sterling silver dish of oval form with shaped borders and raised on four shaped decorative feet. The pretty pierced silver has pierced hatched decoration and an embossed design of fruit, flowers and scrolls. Weight 349 grams,11.2 troy ounces. Height 6 cm. Length 28.5 cms. Width 22.5 cms. Chester 1904. Maker Timothy Ellison & Henry Fishwick.

Biography – Thomas Latham & Ernest Morton, founded in Birmingham in 1866. Active at Pallas Works, 115/116 Vyse Street, Birmingham (1898-1901), The firm became a limited liability company in 1915 as Latham & Morton Ltd.

Object Condition

This attractive silver dish is in very good condition with no damage or restoration. Stamped with a full set of clear English silver hallmarks. Please note that this item is not new and will show moderate signs of wear commensurate with age. Reflections in the photograph may detract from the true representation of this item.
