This is a beautiful antique Victorian triple clam shell shaped silver plated biscuit box stamped WA for W. Allan of Sheffield England, circa 1870 in date.
The scalloped biscuit box features a rounded triangular pyramid scalloped shell shaped body which is supported by a decorative twig frame terminating in hoof feet.
The box opens simultaneously in three parts to reveal three hinged compartments twith pierced dividers.
This container could house anything from sweets to biscuits, trinkets or earrings. Whatever you choose to store in this lovely item you are sure to do it in style.
