Object Description

A highly unusual and very decorative novelty silver plated biscuit box in the shape of a regimental side drum, the hinged lid having a pair of drum sticks as a handle. Height 14.25 cms, 17 cms to top of drum sticks. Engraved to the body with the Royal coat of arms and with an engraved monogram to the lid. Diameter 15 cms. Circa 1880. Unmarked. Silver plated.

Object Condition

This novelty drum box is in very good condition with no damage or restoration. There is no wear to the silver plate.
