This is a lovely antique sterling silver teapot weighing 718 grams and measuring 10 1/2″ (27 cms) across from handle to tip of spout x 5 1/2″ (14 cms) tall to the top of the finial and the whole thing is in excellent condition.
It has the silversmiths mark for Thomas Hayes and is hallmarked for Birmingham 1901.
This lovely teapot is nice and clean inside making it perfectly usable and it holds 1 1/2 pints.
It has a lovely decoration all round of dogs, fish and swans and is sits on four lion head mounted legs – there are no inscriptions or monograms.
