Object Description
A good 18th century lignum vitae pestle and mortar, the mortar of waisted form having two incised lines above a protruding band, and with reeded decoration below on an angled vertical foot. The pestle that appears to match, is of traditional form with a slightly patinated chip to the top. Both have a good colour and excellent patination.
Length of the pestle: 10.5 inches (26.5 cm.)
