Object Description
A fine early 19th century French fruitwood snuff rasp, crisply carved with leafage and a heart on the front, while on the back there are two entwined hearts joined with an arrow above a plant in a jardiniere, with leaves, berries and a flower head. The interior still retains a full sized tin rasp for grating tobacco leaves into snuff. The whole has a pale colour against a darker background, and retains a good patination.
