Object Description

A lovely Brazilian jacaranda wood small brass banded string barrel of the Regency Period, having an end that unscrews revealing a wooden spool for the string, with a protruding handle to one end, and a bone collar for the string to pass through. The whole is raised on a concave sided beech stand, has a rich colour and grain with excellent patination.
