This is a beautiful antique English set of twelve silver plated fish knives, fish forks with a pair of large servers, with the silver hall marks on the collars for Sheffield, 1923, and the makers mark JY for Yates Brothers of Sheffield, England, 1923.
It has the makers mark WB & S for the renowned retailer William Bruford & Sons of Eastbourne, they are still there today.
They have the most exquisite engraved blades with ivorine handles and is in the original solid mahogany box with blank brass cartouche ready to be engraved with your initials. This box opens in a very unusual way so that the cutlery is beautifully displayed.
