Object Description
A beautiful pair of Victorian gold articulated drop earrings c. 1870, each designed as an elongated pear shaped drop of gold suspended within an ornate frame of the same shape formed as an openwork cage-like design with trifurcated motifs forming an inward facing fringe around the edge to both front and back, all beneath a navette shaped bead with wire hook fitting. A wonderful pair of antique earrings with lovely movement and finely crafted intricate detailed design, these are comfortable and easily wearable today, 150 years after they were made.
