This is a beautiful Antique Victorian silver plated biscuit box, bearing the Victorian Diamond Registration mark on the feet, circa 1870 in date.
This exquisite round shaped box has a hinged lid which is beautifully engraved with floral and foliate decoration. The body features equally delightful foliage ornamentation as well as delightful birds. It stands on a round shaped base that rests on three charming claw feet.
This container could house anything from sweets to biscuits or trinkets.
