This is a beautiful Antique Victorian silver plated casket bearing the incised stamped makers mark of the world renowned silversmith firm Mappin & Webb, circa 1880 in date.
This wonderful casket is of very high quality and features superb embossed and engraved decoration set in panels cast with flowers in urns tied with ribbons. The hinged lid is decorated with a winged reclining cherub in high relief and
the casket features a gilt interior and is raised on decorative toupie feet.
This exquisite casket could house anything from trinkets to jewellery.
