This is a lovely antique Victorian hallmarked sterling silver christening mug/tankard measuring 4″ (10 cms) tall x 2 1/2″ (7 cms) across the top.
It’s hallmarked for London 1899 with the silversmiths mark for Mappin & Webb and it’s also marked underneath ‘Mappin & Webb, London’.
The whole mug is in very good condition with beautiful decoration of cherubs eating grapes.
There are no initials or monograms and it weighs 172.6 grams.
