An antique Victorian sterling silver and glass “glug glug” decanter which has a plain glass body, a plain silver mount with good pouring spouts and a glass and silver stopper which fits neatly within the neck. It is unusual to find a stopper with a hallmarked silver cover which adds to the overall design and appeal of this decanter. This silver and glass decanter would be perfect to use and would cause some interest when displayed. The silver mount is dated for 1893 and the stopper is dated for 1892 both by Alexander Clark.
