This is a truly magnificent and rare antique Victorian sterling silver mounted walking cane, 1888 in date.
This superb decorative walking cane has a splendid chased sterling silver handle in the form of a horse’s head by the renowned silversmiths, Ebenezer Newman & Co., London. The horse’s head has been cast with so much infinite care and patience that we can almost count the hairs.
The sturdy and elegant Malacca tapering shaft is complete with its original silvered ferrule for ease of use.
It is a truly lovely item which exudes the utmost in elegance and distinguished style and as such would be appreciated by any collector of walking canes.
