This is an antique William IV sterling silver brandy warming pan measuring 9 1/2” (24 cms) across including the handle x 5” (12.5 cms) to the rim.
It’s hallmarked for London 1830 with the silversmiths mark for J.Whitehouse.
It’s in excellent condition with a fruit wood handle and knob on the lid which shows matching hallmarks.
The bowl of the pan shows two armorial crests one ‘Che Sara Sara’ and the other ‘Celestes Pandite Portae’ which mean ‘Whatever will be, will be’ and ‘Heavenly Gates Open’.
The pan weighs 348.6 grams .
