Object Description

A fine vintage purple sapphire ring. The sapphire in the centre – certified as natural, unheated and originating from Ceylon (Sri Lanka) – displays a glowing, royal purple. The stone is secured in a four claw yellow gold collet and is flanked by step-down shoulders set with six (three each side) eight cut diamonds. Crafted in 18k yellow gold. Currently UK size N, US size 6.5 (complimentary sizing available).

Accompanied by a sapphire report from The Gem & Pearl Laboratory stating the sapphire shows no evidence of heating, and is Sri Lankan (Ceylon) in origin.

Cut – Oval cut sapphire and eight-cut diamonds.

Colour – The diamond are F to G.

Clarity – The sapphire is loupe clean. The diamonds are VS1 to VS2.

Carat – The sapphire is 1.11 carat. The total approximate diamond weight is 0.12 carat.

Circa – 1920.

Size – N (UK) or 6.5 (US). Complimentary sizing is available, can go up or down.

Measurements – The sapphire is 7.4 x 6.0mm. Sits 4.9mm from the finger.

Weight – 2.69 grams.

Metal – 18k gold. Tested.
