Object Description
Art Deco Burmese sapphire and diamond cluster ring. Set to centre with a cushion shape old cut natural unenhanced Royal Blue Burmese sapphire in an open back four claw setting with an approximate weight of 1.76 carats, surrounded and flanked by twelve rectangular baguette cut diamonds in open back channel and rubover settings with a combined approximate weight of 1.00 carats, to a structured geometric cluster supported by an open gallery decorated with scrolling and chenier details and fitted to reverse with intricate backholing, the open raised shoulders flow down to a solid D-shape shank. Marked platinum, English, circa 1935, accompanied by Gem Research Swiss Lab (GRS) report #GRS2016-021499.
