Object Description
Art Deco diamond cluster ring. Centrally set with a round old cut diamond in an open back grain setting with a weight of 0.35 carats, flanked to top and bottom with two round old cut diamonds in open back grain settings with a combined weight of 0.10 carats and further decorated by twenty two round single cut diamonds in open back grain settings with a combined weight of 0.50 carats. The total approximate diamond weight is 0.95 carats, to a stylish geometric cluster with a raised central octagonal collet featuring a polished and faceted border, surrounded by a fancy open work cluster with millegrain edges, intricately pierced open gallery supported by chenier details and shaped backholing, the stylised shoulders include ribbed details which continue to the slim shank. Tested platinum, circa 1935.
