Object Description
A stunning pair of Art Deco diamond drop earrings c.1935, each designed as a long drop of three graduated old European brilliant cut diamonds weighing a combined total of 7.67cts, interspersed with baguette diamonds in a geometric step formation, all set in platinum to hook fittings. These earrings recall the glamour and decadence of the 1930s and are beautifully articulated to give them movement. The juxtaposition of softly rounded shapes against hard geometric lines is typical of the style of this period and is particularly effective in these long drops. A wonderful statement pair of earrings ready for a new lease of life.
