Baccarat floral ruby overlay glass drinks set

This wonderful drinks service is by the famed French glassmaker Baccarat. The service is comprised of five pieces: a curved edge tray, a flask and cover, a bowl and cover, and a decanter with a stopper and a removable drinking glass. The glass throughout is of a ruby red colour, which has been overlaid with white that is parcel gilt and pierced to reveal the red glass beneath. The overlay is painted with a host of imagery, including floral sprays and perched birds, creating a visually rich and striking ensemble.
