Object Description
This George I silver and tortoiseshell pique box was made C1720 and is unmarked, it measures 2.75 inches in length by 2.25 inches wide and is 0.5 inches deep, the top is beautifully patterned with silver wire and silver pins and it has a stand away hinge to the back and is plain to the underside, the tortoiseshell is in good order with only 2 very minor chips and no cracks, some tiny losses in the patterning but considering the age nothing that detracts from it’s beauty, a stunning box in very good condition.
