A beautiful Victorian Latin style cross pendant c.1860s set with eleven finely matched round faceted amethysts of deep richly hued purple colour all set in silver backed with yellow gold which has been finely pierced to create a delicate scalloped gallery, suspended from a matching detachable bale set with three further amethysts. This pendant would look lovely worn on an antique chain from a similar period such as our long guard chain. It could be worn either short at the base of the throat or long and the detachable pig-tail style bale makes it easy to attach and remove so as to be versatile and easily swapped around.
14 x round faceted amethysts estimated to weigh a combined total of approximately 6.5cts
