Object Description
Burmese sapphire and diamond coronet cluster ring. Set to centre with a cushion shape old cut natural unenhanced Burmese sapphire in an open back claw setting with an approximate weight of 5.21 carats, encircled by eighteen round transitional cut diamonds in open back rubover and claw settings with a combined approximate weight of 0.90 carats, all to an impressive coronet cluster design featuring curving split claws, a pierced gallery and fancy open backholing, leading to raised shoulders and flowing through to a solid D-shape shank. Marked platinum, indistinct maker’s mark, French, circa 1970, accompanied by Gemresearch Swisslab report #GRS2022-027096.
