An 18ct gold and diamond dress ring by Cartier c.1970s, the ring composed of five domed rows forming an overall bombe shape with the rows tapering in width to the centre back, the outer two rows and the centre row each with five vertical bands set with three round brilliant cut diamonds, the other two rows off-set with four bands, each with two round brilliant cut diamonds. This stylish dress ring has a wonderful shape and volume, the diamonds are bright and lively and have been well matched. It is signed and numbered to the inside and, as is typical of French rings, marked with the Cartier maker’s mark and eagle head to the outside of shank centre back.
