Object Description
A bold and striking vintage bracelet by Cartier c.1960s, the bracelet made in 18ct yellow gold and formed of five uniform symmetrical links of figure of eight shape, each with a domed profile and rope twist textured finish, joined by gem-set links of rectangular domed shape which are set down either side with a row of turquoise cabochons and interspersed with a central row of single cut diamonds, and with a concealed tongue and box clasp. This stylish bracelet is very finely articulated so feels very supple and comfortable to wear. The turquoises add a lovely bright flash of colour, the diamonds add subtle sparkle and the texture of the gold creates visual interest with a semi-matte surface. The reverse of every link has a beautifully pierced-out backing with scrolling foliate motifs, a lovely additional detail that will only be known to the wearer.
