Object Description

Carved wood sculpture of the Christ Child, one hand raised in a blessing, decorated with the original polychrome, the body flesh coloured, the hair brown, the eyes and eyebrows outlined in brown.

Object Condition

The polychrome and gesso ground with losses and with fine cracking. The arms were made separately, perhaps originally articulated but now fixed. Stand later.
