Circa 1900, a neat size carved walnut duet stool. The stool has a stuffover seat, serpentine sides and fronts. It is finished with close brass studding. The stool stands on four elegant well carved cabriole legs. The tops of the legs have foliate carving which continues around the quarter blocks and down the knees. The shapely, elegant legs taper down to the base as they become a hairy paw foot and closing ball. The carving also continues round the back of the foot. This is a very elegant, clean and neat size stool.
