Object Description

A late 19th to early 20th century cased set of carvers.

The set comprises two carving knives, two forks and a sharpening steel.

Each piece has an antler horn handle with a decorative silver plate ferule and handle knob.

The steel blades are engraved with the maker’s name ‘James Deakin & Sons Cutlers Sheffield’.

The brown case is line with green velvet and turquoise silk.

The set is in good condition with some discolouration of the steel blades and the fitted case has some marks. (Circa 1900)
