Charles X period 80-piece Paris porcelain service by Feuillet

This extensive dessert service is by the Paris porcelain manufacturer Feuillet. The parcel gilt, green-ground service is designed in the Sèvres style, with imagery of birds and flowers used as decorative motifs. The various pieces in the service feature gilt cartouche panels of birds and floral bouquets, which are surrounded by green rims enclosing further floral sprays. The service is comprised of a pair of vases; two pairs of ice pails with covers, one larger and one smaller; twenty bowls of various sizes and styles, including four stemmed tazze, and six three-tier tazze; forty-eight dessert plates, with eighteen painted with birds and thirty painted with floral bouquets; a pair of pierced fruit baskets; and two bowls. The pieces are signed ‘Feuillet’.
