Object Description
Guangxu blue and white porcelain bowl. Made towards the end of the 19th century during the reign of the Emperor Guangxu at the kilns at Jingdezhen a very well potted bowl with excellent painting in a very good cobalt blue.
the painting is a continuous landscape scene with finely painted trees with pagodas and figures including banner men. the scene is of a mountainous river estuary and may represent Gwaylin.
The painting is repeated to the inside of the bowl around the rim. and with a central scene to the inside.
The underside painted with a four character mark
For a late piece of blue and white porcelain it is very well painted and potted with a almost 17th/18th century quality
