Embroidery on satanised dark blue silk with excellent stitch work and colour.
The Embroidery shows a red Headed Crane standing on a mound with Peony, Hibiscus and finger Citron -Buddha’s Hand.
The Citron or fu shou is an inedible fruit although has a beautiful fragrance. it is often placed on Buddhist alters and represents wealth.
Red Headed Cranes are one of the symbols of The Emperor and associated with the belief that it lived for over 600 years it is an emble, of longevity
The hibiscus flower is the emblem for riches
The dark blue is associated with a fourth rank court Mandarin
