Transitional Chinese 17th century blue and white porcelain baluster jar made during the reign of Shunzhi at the start of the Qing Dynasty c1650.
Excellent painting in under glaze blue of scrolling lotus flowers and foliage. The blue is the beautiful muted blue
The neck is painted with lappets or flames and the rim has an under glaze brown edge as is typical of the period
