Object Description
Chinese 17th century blue and white small saucer plate. Excellent painting of deities at leisure.
The painting is excellent with great detail and humour.
The figures are sat under a pine tree for longevity playing Mah Jong
The rim has the typical brown edge painted on for definition and a belief that it made the rim less likely to frit
The underside has stylised clouds to edge and a four character mark that reads ‘Made in the Greatest Ming Dynasty’ It is a rare mark as it says greatest not great.
