This exceptional antique Chinese Export Silver (CES) box has a rounded rectangular form.
The surface of the box has a textured finish and is embellished with simplistic engraved bordered panels to each side.
This antique silver box is fitted with the original hinged cover, ornamented with an applied central vacant rectangular cartouche.
The body of this fine 1900s jewellery box retains the original cedar wood lining, with a bespoke navy blue velvet fitment; this versatile box could be used as a trinket or jewellery box.
The box features a solid silver base which is plain and unembellished, apart from the feature hallmarks; a solid silver base is a sign of quality.
