An exceptional, fine and impressive antique Chinese export silver three piece tea service; an addition to our diverse silver teaware collection
This exceptional antique Chinese silver tea set/service consists of a teapot, cream jug and covered sugar bowl.
Each piece of this tea service has a rounded hexagonal form onto a cast pedestal style foot.
The surface of each piece is embellished with fine and impressive panels of applied undulating, iconic Chinese dragon designs.
The upper rim of each piece is encompassed with an applied bead decorated border.
The teapot and sugar bowl are fitted with the original domed covers surmounted with cast knopped silver finials; the cover to the teapot is hinged.
This Chinese silver teapot is fitted with a C shaped handle, accented with scrolling terminals.
The sugar bowl and cream jug are fitted with silver handles reflecting that of the teapot, incorporating a bifurcating lower terminal.
The teapot features a cast silver swan necked spout, with moulded decoration to the lip.
The antique silver cream jug and covered sugar bowl feature gilded interiors.
