Object Description
Chinese 18th Century Famille Rose Octagonal Armorial small plate. Painted in over glaze enamels with a gilt border.
The flowers to the centre represent European style flowers which are repeated to the side. the edge of the plate and the top of the central well is painted with a dagger style pattern.
the Armorial motif shows a Lion rampant in white o a dark blue ground shield topped by a hound on a striped pole.
the heraldry is probably part of the Brooke family from Norton priory in Worcestershire
