Object Description

Wucai Chinese 17th Century Transitional lidded jar. c1640
Painted in the traditional style of large orange/red peonies with green foliage above flame shaped lappets around the base and a narrower band above and below the rim
The flat lid is painted with a peony lower.
The base is typically flat and unglazed

Object Condition

Overall good but there are chips to the lid a very fine hairline mainly in the glaze to the neck. All shown on photos
