Object Description

This crested George II silver Hanoverian basting spoon was made in London in 1754 by Edward Dobson, William Pryor and James Williams and measures 14 5/16 inches in length, it is crested to the back with a stirrup between 2 wings and is fully and clearly bottom hallmarked, it has a large well formed bowl with a double drop heel and weighs 5.20 ounces or 161 grams.
