British Army Wristwatch c 1945. About 20 000 Cyma WWW watches were made explicitly to the specifications of the Ministry of War (now Ministry of Defence). Other suppliers included Omega, IWC and Longines. In total, 12 Swiss manufacturers received orders to supply the Army, and the complete collection is affectionally known as “Dirty Dozen” amongst collectors.
This watch is in exceptional condition. The case is unpolished, the dial and hands are original, and so are the hands and the crown. The movement retains the original dust cover and is running well.
We have not come across a better example of this watch in 32 years of collection military watches.
