Object Description
Diamond cluster ring by Henry Birks & Sons. Centrally set with a round old cut diamond in an open back rubover and millegrain setting with a weight of 0.50 carats, flanked by two round old cut diamonds in open back grain settings with a combined weight of 0.05 carats and further decorated to top and bottom with six round old cut diamonds in open back grain settings with a combined weight of 0.10 carats. The total approximate diamond weight is 0.65 carats, to an elegant oval openwork cluster with radiating details, millegrain decoration, open gallery supported by cheniers and finely pierced circular backholing, the slightly trumpeting shoulders smooth to a slim shank. Marked 18 carat gold with platinum settings, signed ‘BIRKS’, Canadian, circa 1900.
