Circa 19th century, Dutch marquetry and inlaid walnut bombe fronted bureau. Covered all over with bird and floral marquetry, of exotic woods on a figured walnut background. The curved flap front opens to an exceptionally well fitted stepped interior with pigeon holes and drawers. Four graduated long drawers are flanked by canted angles, and it is all raised on boldly carved hairy paw feet. It has its original elaborate pierced bronze handles and escutcheons.
