Object Description
A Charming Early 18th Century George II Walnut Chest
Having Superbly Figured Quarter Veneered Top With
Crossbanded Decoration Above Slide And Four Long
Drawers Retaining Original Brasswear Raised On
Original Shaped Bracket Feet
(It’s rare to find walnut items of this period in such good
condition and that retain such a lovely colour and patina.
This particular example is also the perfect functional size
and in such good condition that despite being only just shy
of 300 years old it is still as fit for purpose as the day it was
made. It retains it’s original brasswear and is raised on its
original feet, which again is a both rare and desirable feature)
