Object Description
Edwardian diamond drop earrings. A matching pair, each set to centre with a round old cut diamond in an open back rubover settings, two in total, with a combined approximate weight of 1.00 carats, each further adorned with three round old cut diamonds in open back rubover settings, six in total, with a combined weight of 0.6 carats, each suspending from the top a round old cut diamond in an open back rubover setting, two in total, with a combined weight of 0.50 carats and each further set with six round eight cut diamonds in open back grain settings, twelve in total, with a combined weight of 0.12 carats. The total approximate diamond weight is 2.22 carats, to an elegant articulated drop earring, flowing with movement, featuring millegrain edging and fancy open backholing, fitted to reverse with a secure post and butterfly, approximately 2.5cm in length. Earrings tested platinum, butterflies marked platinum, circa 1915.
