Object Description
A fine Egyptian feldspar scarab with incised detailing to form a ridged carapace with a stylised clypeus and head. A single incised line marks out the prothorax, while double inscribed lines have been used to depict the elytra. At the end of the elytra, an X-shaped cross has been added. Its notched legs have been undercut into the sides of the scarab and panels of incised lines on either side further embellish the scarab. The reverse has been left plain and unadorned. The scarab has not been perforated. The feldspar presents with an olive green colouring of varying hues, with natural striations of brown, black, beige, and yellow.
