Object Description
An Ancient Egyptian amuletic bead finely carved in the semi-precious stone lapis lazuli, depicting a lotus flower. Each petal has been beautifully rendered through a series of incised lines to the front of the amulet, while the reverse appears flat and unworked. The amulet has been pierced longitudinally for suspension, now partially filled with earthly encrustations.
