A beautiful ancient Egyptian, restrung necklace consisting of faience beads in different shapes and colours. The tubular turquoise beads, alternate with red and white smaller, flattened disc beads. A larger dark blue tubular bead in the centre draws attention to the necklace. The vibrant blue of this bead was meant to imitate the more expensive, semi-precious stone lapis lazuli.
