Object Description

This lovely elegant pair of crested George III silver salts were made in York in 1791 by John Hampton and John Prince and measure 2 5/8 inches at their tallest by 2 inches wide and 2 1/16 inches by 1.5 inches across the base, they are plain in design with a reeded band around the top border and scrolled ends, they have lozenge shaped pedestal bases and are engraved to one side with a shield shaped cartouche with crest, they are fully and clearly hallmarked under the bases and are in excellent condition.
