This antique low bookcase bears stamp, James Winter, 101 Wardour Str, Soho, London. James Winter was an important furniture dealer, broker and licensed appraiser based in Soho, London between 1823 and 1840. The business commenced at 101 Wardour Street in 1823, and, after 1840, moving to 151/153/155 Wardour Street. c1830
